Part of this journey will be revitalising the Rheem brand as we introduce new and exciting sustainable water heating options to New Zealand homes and businesses.

The opportunity:

You will gain exposure to all areas within the production, manufacturing, and assembly of storage water heaters and boiling water units. The manufacturing processes include but are not limited to the following: cylinder rolling, welding, plenishing, coining, flaring, clenching, piercing, blasting, spraying, enamelling, brazing piercing, foaming, wiring, testing and general assembly.

We have multiple vacancies on offer, including:

Permanent full-time day shift: Monday-Friday from 7.00 am to 3.30 pm, and the opportunity to earn attractive overtime pay.

Our afternoon shift will start out on a fixed-term contract, with the possibility of becoming a permanent employee. This shift operates Monday-Thursday from 3.15 pm -1.15 am, giving you a 3-day weekend, as well as the opportunity to earn attractive overtime pay.

This role will see you:

  • Perform assembly line tasks
  • Process line work
  • Manufacturing internal tanks
  • Testing and quality checking
  • Set up, control, run and stop machines
  • Work to daily work plans sets by the supervisor
  • Maintenance checks are carried out and re-work is completed in a timely manner

About you:

You are passionate about delivering high-quality products and able to work in a rapid environment with a steady pace. Naturally, you will be fit and able to lift around 25kg, you are health and safety conscious, and eager to learn about the rest of the business.

Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in any of the above listed areas like sheet metal or FMCG environments, familiar with product assembly using jigs and power/hand tools, steel and aluminium welding, and forklift experience will be advantageous.

You have great attention to detail, can follow instructions and plans, and love working as part of a team.
